REALTEK RTL8723BS DRIVER WINDOWS 8.1 NEXTBOOK 64 BIT
I also have several mice laying around that I could just as easily use if the touchpad doesn't play nice.Īs for Graphics I would be surprised if it didn't work as it is Intel integrated which is typically highly supported.Īs for the edition, Yeah the hardware is 64 bit (processor wise) but I am unsure of the other hardware since it came with a 32 bit version of windows to begin with. I'm not to concerned about touch screen performance as long as it does something when touched. Well as this device comes with a keyboard/touchpad dock to make it into a two in one laptop.
I was only more concerned about getting started with it more than actually installing. So I guess the point of posting this, is should I dive in and give it a shot with Linux Mint, or should I wait till someone else gets it right before I do it? Also if anybody knows of any issues I might run into when I try this.Īlso, if this should be in installation and what not, then feel free to move it with my apologies. The touchscreen is an I2C HID Device location wise and the manufacturer is unknown, it is using a microsoft based driver. Networking: Realtek RTL8723BS Wireless LAN 80211n SDIO Network Adapter RAM: 2 GB (Low voltage style and likely soldered on considering tablet) I have confirmed that booting from a USB is possible but have yet to be successful with it as I didn't have a flash drive ready when I found the settings in question. The specs of the tablet are reasonable really but it definitely has a 32 bit UEFI and I suspect that windows will be needed to ever gain access to the settings of that. So I was wondering if anybody here has already tried to run linux on this device or if I will be the first to dive into it. Okay first the background here, I purchased a Nextbook Flexx 10 from Walmart the other day and after a few days of Windows 8.1 I'm already sick of it.
